Obituary

Dorothy MacAskill was called "home" peacefully on December 24, 2025.

She was born in Worcester, MA to Leo LaMothe and Lillian Christofono. She lived most of her adult life in Malden, MA. She loved to travel, play bingo and took several trips to Las Vegas. She lived a long healthy life and was full of adventure. Her spirit was larger than her size. She was very generous, and her family was her life.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband Murdock "Mac" MacAskill, Sr and her son Murdock "Scott" MacAskill, Jr. Loving mother of Katherine MacAskill, of Davenport FL, her son Wayne MacAskill and wife Darlene of Litchfield, NH, and son Brian MacAskill of Wakefield, MA. She is survived by her grandchildren Jenelle (MacAskill) Maclean, Amy-Jean Lemanski, Murdock MacAskill III, Rachelle Barnett, Karen Latorelli, Ian MacAskill, and Matthew MacAskill, and 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday December 31st at 11:00am. Visitation will be held from 9:00am-11:00am prior to the service. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
