Obituary

Derek R. Frechette passed away suddenly on March 12, 2018. He was 48 years old.

Derek was a resident of Sturbridge, MA and formerly of Stoneham. He dedicated his life and was an advocate to saving children from drowning. He established the CEF foundation to prevent drowning so that not one more child would die, and worked hard with legislation to pass Christian's law.

Derek was the beloved husband of Tina (Ashton) Frechette. He was the loving son of Janet (Moore) Frechette and the late Earl Frechette. He was the cherished father of Cameron, Ashton, Caden, Reese, Reegan, and the late Christian Frechette. Derek was the brother of James Scott. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday March 17th from 3-7pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
