Obituary

David W. Steer passed away at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on August 13, 2007 after a long illness. He was 71 years old.

Born in Newburyport, David was a life-long resident of Malden. He worked in the banking industry for many years and loved buying and selling antique glass.

David was the life-long partner of George Gleason of Malden. He was the son of the late Edmund W. and Grace E. (Goodwin) Steer. David was also the dear brother of June Nichypor of Newburyport, Ruth F. Bailey of Amesbury and Grace Clough of Gloucester and the cousin of Jan Fontaine of NH.

Visiting hours will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday August 16th from 5-8 p.m. A service will be held during the visitation at 7:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations in David's memory may be made to the National Heisey Club of America.
