Obituary

D. Elizabeth (Liz) Semensi, age 28, died in Lynn, Mass., on April 5. A graduate of Peabody (MA) Veterans Memorial High School, Liz was born in Providence, RI. Beloved by family and countless friends and contacts both inside and outside North Shore mental health agencies, she fought a life-long battle with mental illness. Liz lived, played, hosted, and fought for her happiness in Salem, Beverly, Danvers, Peabody, and Lynn. She is survived by parents Victor Semensi and Sarah Swart, brothers Michael Semensi and Fred Patenaude, grandparents Ralph and Marie Semensi and Fred Swart, aunts and uncles Gillian Swart, Phil and Helen Mazarakis, Myron Swart, Janet Semensi, and Steve Semensi; and cousins Alexandra Mazarakis and James Mazarakis. Predeceased by sister Josephine Patenaude, grandmother Elizabeth Swart, aunt Cathy Semensi, and biological mother Jane Conway. A service will be held for Liz at A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday April 8th at 7:00p.m. A visitation period will be held from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. prior to the service. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
