Obituary

Clyde Nelson Colwell Jr. passed away on July 14, 2014. He was 85 years old.

Clyde was a lifelong resident of Malden. He joined the United States Marine Corps and is proudly credited with having served during both World War II and the Korean War. During his retirement, Clyde loved to watch old classic movies, and all of Boston's great local sports teams. It was however, his time at the Dog and Horse Races that really made retirement enjoyable for him.

Clyde was the devoted husband of 55 years to Marie (Hunt) Colwell. He was the beloved father of Todd E. Colwell and his wife Nancee of Malden and the late Scott N. Colwell. Clyde was the loving step-father of Ronald A. Mini. He was the dear father in-law of Elizabeth (Colwell) Santanna. Clyde was the brother of the late Marion Thomas. He was the cherished grandfather of Amber E. Reardon, and Justin and Scott Colwell. Clyde was the great grandfather of Giana and Alexa Reardon. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.

A service will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday July 18th at 10:00a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday July 17th from 5-7pm.

Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
