Christine Grimes passed away peacefully on October 2, 2026, at the age of 75. She was born in Boston, MA, on November 27, 1950.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Consuelo (Zamara) Carter and the late James B. Carter, and the sister of Pearle Frye, Winston Joyner, the late James Carter Jr., the late Donald Frye, and the late Joseph Frye. She was also a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was the proud and loving mother of Denise Cooper, Deanna (Grimes) Masse, son-in-law Brian Masse, and the late Derreck Carter. She was a cherished grandmother to Amanda Cooper, Dillon Masse, Carter Masse, and Madison Masse.

Her presence will be deeply missed by her many lifelong friends, with whom she shared a deep connection. She made many lasting friendships wherever she went.

True to her spirit, she would wish for her family and loved ones to live life to the fullest in her memory.

Visiting hours will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden, on Saturday, October 10th from 9:00 a.m.- 10:30 am followed by a service in the funeral home at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
