Obituary

Catherine T. Sestito (D'Agosta) "Katie", of Peabody, formerly a resident of Melrose for over 40 years, died on December 21st at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. Katie was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Sestito. She is survived by her two daughters, Karen L. DiLando and her husband Robert R. of Peabody and Jane Lynch and her husband Joseph M. of Danvers. She was the dear sister of Mary Rockett, Josephine "Jerry" Beatrice, Frances Hare, Gloria Henley and the late Mildred Bernard and Joseph D'Agosta. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Stephanie Rooney and Lesley A. DiLando and her great-grandchildren, Jack R. Rooney and Jonathan J. Rooney as well as several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Mary's Church, Herbert Street, Melrose on Saturday, December 23rd at 10:00 am. Visitation will be held prior to the mass from 8:30-9:30 am at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
