Obituary

Carmella A. (Marino) Genovese passed away on November 17, 2010. She was 94 years old.

Born and raised in Boston's North End, Carmella was a resident of Malden for 26 years. She was married to the late Joseph Genovese, her husband of 52 years.

Carmella was the beloved mother of Dominic Genovese and his wife Donna of Stoughton, Nina Wagner and her husband Jim of Sagamore Beach and Linda Firicano and her husband Albert of Malden. She was the dear sister of Michael Marino and Anna Polci both of Boston and the late Peter, Louis, Gus, Jimmy and Steve Marino and Ida Scalfani. Carmella was the cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday, November 20th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main Street, Malden at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Friday, November 19th from 4-8 p.m. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
