Obituary

Carmelina (Abbondanza) DiFlumeri passed away at the Wingate of Andover nursing home on January 10, 2007 at age 83. Born in Italy, Carmelina was a longtime resident of Malden and most recently lived in Medford. She was the wife of the late Prisco DiFlumeri and the loving mother of Maria Mancaniello and her husband Ciro of Medford. Carmelina was also the dear sister of Antonio, Valentino, Ciriaco, Angelo, Gigino and Stella Abbondanza and the late Oto and Raffaela Abbondanza. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday, January 13th at 8:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 9:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Friday, January 12th from 4-8 pm. Interment Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
