Obituary

Carl P. "Dar" Fontana, of Melrose formerly of Somerville, passed away on May 12, 2020. He was 70 years old.

Carl was the beloved husband of Karen Despirito. He was the son of the late Carl and Emelia (Castrini) Fontana. Carl was the loving father of Daniel L. Fontana of Stoneham and step-father of Krista Maffei of Melrose. He was the dear brother of Nancy DiGiuseppe and her husband Eddie and Mark Fontana. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many good friends.

Services will be private. A celebration of life for Carl will be held at a later date.
