Obituary

Bridget M. (Benevento) Lauria passed away on July 30, 2011. She was 84 years old.

Born in Boston, Bridget was a longtime resident of East Boston. She lived in Las Vegas for 18 years and also in Melrose for many years prior to moving to Wakefield.

Bridget was the devoted wife of 59 years to the late Simone "Sam" Lauria. She was the beloved mother of Vincent Lauria and his wife Rebecca of Marblehead, Anne Rand and her husband Gary of Reading, Stephen Lauria of Wakefield and Nancy Earl and her husband James of Winthrop. Bridget was dear sister of Ann DiNicolantonio and the late Nunzio and Anthony Benevento and the cherished grandmother of Emily and Stephen Rand and Christina Earl.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Bridget's life will be held in St. Joseph's Church, 173 Albion Street, Wakefield on Tuesday, August 2nd at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation will be held from the A.J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. prior to the Mass. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
