Obituary

Antonio J. "Tony" Pisaturo passed away peacefully at home on June 7, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was 94 years old.

Tony was a lifelong resident of the Edgeworth section of Malden. He was a United States Navy Veteran having served his country during WWII, stationed on the USS-LST 41 tank landing ship. Tony was a self- employed barber for many years in Melrose and had retired from the Painters Union, District Council 35. He was a longtime member of the Melrose Elks Post 1031, the Italian American Citizens Club in Malden and was one of the founding members of the Italian American World War Veterans Club in Malden.

Tony was the beloved husband of the late Joan U. (Kennedy) Pisaturo and the son of the late Giuseppe and Gertrude (Mastrolitto) Pisaturo. He was the loving father of Joanne D'Orlando of Malden, Joseph Pisaturo and his wife Donna of Everett and Jeannie Tucker and her husband Jimmy of Malden. Tony was the brother of the late Angela Falzarano and the late Lucille Zampitella. He was the cherished grandfather of Jon and Michael D'Orlando, Joe Pisaturo, and Erica D'Augustine and her husband Tony and great-grandfather of Anthony D'Augustine. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Tuesday June 14th at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 13th from 4-8pm. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
