Obituary

Antonetta (Santoro) Moreno passed away on January 13, 2008. She was 91 years old.

Born in Wakefield, Antonetta was a longtime resident of Malden and Medford. She worked as a stitcher for over 50 years for L.B. Evans, a slipper factory in Wakefield and was co-owner of the Santoro's Sub shops.

Antonetta was married to the late Angelo Moreno, her devoted husband for 71 years. She was the loving mother of Patrick Moreno and his wife Shirley of Burlington and Marilyn Hughes of Burlington. She was the dear sister of Rose Martone of Saugus, Nina Venafra of Fall River, Mike Santoro of Italy and the late Samuel Santoro. Antonetta was the cherished grandmother of Lori Giorlando, John Hughes, Scott Hughes, Paul Moreno and Kristen Guarino and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday, January 17th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Wednesday, January 16th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Entombment in Woodlawn Mausoleum, Everett.
