Obituary

Anthony W. Spadafora Sr. passed away on October 7, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was 67 years old.
Born and raised in Malden, Anthony grew up in the Edgeworth section of the city. He was a part owner of Spadafora and Sons Florist, which was a well-known establishment and gathering place for family and friends for many, many years. Anthony was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.
Anthony was the beloved husband of Olivia (Ross) Spadafora and the son of the late Guy "Ninnie" and Mary (Graziano) Spadafora. He was the loving father of Michele Settemio and her husband Billy, Anthony Spadafora Jr. and his wife Gina and Joseph Spadafora all of Malden. He was the dear brother of Connie Mercurio of Melrose and her late husband Edgar. Anthony was the cherished Papa of Amanda and Jaclyn Spayne, Nico and Gianna Spadafora and John and Michael Settemio. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, October 12th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, October 11th from 3-8 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Anthony's memory may be made to St. Jude Food Bank, P.O. Box 1277, Tuba City, AZ 86045.
