Obituary

Anthony J. Preziosi, 96, passed away on September 12, 2022, surrounded by his adoring family. Anthony was the enamored and devoted husband of Betty (Brown) with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. He was the cherished father of Paul Preziosi and Nancy Blanton and her husband Kevin, all of Medford. Anthony was the son of the late Angelo and Colomba (Festa) Preziosi. He was predeceased by his siblings, Mary Serra, Andy, Alfonso, John and Americo, and is survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in East Boston, Anthony moved to Medford, where he lived for the past 60 years. In his earlier life, Anthony owned and operated Brooks Market in East Boston along with his father and brothers for over 25 years. A proud Italian-American, he served in the U.S. Army during WWII and participated in the liberation of the Philippines. A classic character with a remarkable breadth of knowledge, Anthony touched many lives with his warmth, generosity, wit, knack for storytelling, and tendency to break into a tune. His memory will be cherished, and his presence sorely missed.

Services will be private. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
