Obituary

Anthony T. Papa passed away on October 11, 2021. He was 92 years old.

Anthony was a longtime resident of Wakefield. Before his retirement in 2000 at age 71, Anthony worked as a liquor salesman for many years. He worked for S.S. Pierce, Whitehall Beverage and Premium Beverage.

Anthony was the husband of the late Lucy (Cila) Papa. He was the loving father of Janis Papa Bergman of Malden. Anthony was the brother of the late Thomas Pappa, Mary Colella, Lena Adams, and Bart Papa. He was the cherished grandfather of Ashley Bergman of Wakefield, MA and Mathew Bergman and his partner Linda Brown of Firestone, CO.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Anthony's life at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main Street, Wakefield on Saturday November 27th at 11:00am. A visiting hour will be held at the church from 10:00am-11:00am prior to the Mass. Interment of ashes will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
