Obituary

Anthony Scopelliti Jr. passed away on April 16, 2013. He was 81 years old.

Anthony was born and raised in Italy and was a resident of Malden for 55 years. He was a member of the Bricklayer and Allied Craftsman Local 3 for 50 years. Anthony loved working in his garden and yard. He also loved dancing and traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.

Anthony was the devoted husband of 60 years to Anna F. (Sullo) Scopelliti. He was the son of the late Antonio and Rosaria (Gilberto) Scopelliti. Anthony was the beloved father of Maria McKenna and her husband Bob of Tewksbury, Anthony Scopelliti of Malden and Diana Basile and her husband Anthony of Revere. He was the dear brother of the late John Scopelliti and the late Maria Arena. Anthony was the cherished grandfather of Megan McKenna and Sophia Basile. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the A.J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday, April 20th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Friday, April 19th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
