Obituary

Amato Cataldo passed away at the Mass. General Hospital on March 31, 2009 after a short illness. He was 83 years old.

Born in Italy, Amato grew up in Boston's North End. He was retired from Cole Herssee in South Boston where he had worked as a machine operator and had been married to the late Gerarda (Dello Russo) Cataldo.

Amato was the devoted father of Emily Bockley and her husband Ted Jr. of Malden. He was also the loving grandfather of Ted III and Anthony.

A Funeral Service will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, April 3rd at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday, April 2nd from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
