Obituary

Algert J. "Al" Macy passed away peacefully on May 13, 2019, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 71 years old.

Al was a lifelong resident of Malden and a longtime resident of Portland, ME. He was a United States Navy Veteran during the Vietnam Era and a past member of the Irish American Club, American Legion, and The Eagles Club all of Malden. Al was a retired police officer for the City of Malden, serving the city for 36 years.

Al was the beloved husband of 45 years to Toni (Navarro) Macy. He was the son of the late Algert and Mary (O'Brien) Macy. Al was the loving father of Farrah Macy of Lighthouse Point, FL and Al Macy of Wakefield.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Tuesday May 21st at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main Street, Malden at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8pm.

Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
